Energy
Operations platform for an energy company
A .NET system for job planning, field crews and monthly reporting, used across three European Union countries.
Helios Energy
The problem
Job planning lived in shared spreadsheets, one per subsidiary. The monthly report to group level was assembled by hand and typically consumed two working days at month end.
The solution
A single job register with statuses, owners and deadlines.
Visual scheduling by crew and by week, with overlap detection.
A web application for field crews, usable on a weak connection.
Approval flows for cost estimates and overtime.
Automatically generated reports, identical across every subsidiary.
Why .NET
The company already ran SQL Server and Active Directory. An ASP.NET Core backend allowed sign-in through existing accounts, with no second password, and direct integration with financial reporting.
Data residency
The system runs in European Union Azure regions, with an audit trail for every change to a job and history retention aligned with the group's internal policy.
